I will collect your placenta from the hospital or home as soon as possible after the birth (for a small extra fee) or you will arrange to have it dropped to me. The placenta will be made into capsules and you will be able to come and collect them within a few days.
I will make capsules via the raw method or the TCM method, or half and half. Your preference will be discussed with you on booking.

Placenta Tinctures
A placenta tincture is a tincture made of alcohol in which a small piece of your placenta has been steeped. It can be used to make homoeopathic remedies and also creams and balms. If stored in a cool dark place this placenta tincture should last throughout your lifetime and can be shared with your baby.
Placenta tincture is not recommended for continuous daily use, but for use in times of need.

I will take a piece of your placenta to make the essence with.
I will make your Placenta Essence by steeping the placenta in water and then storing it in a mixture of water and alcohol for a short period of time.
You will receive two bottles; a mother essence (100ml) and a dispensing bottle (10mls) Your essence will usually be ready within about a week

Placenta Homeopathic Remedies
Homeopathic remedies are made from a variety of substances; these substances include human tissue. The classic placenta remedy was proved from a mother having a home birth in Wales. Whist remedy can be very useful therapeutically, having your own placenta remedy is something unique for both you and your baby. Placental remedies can help with the symptoms of anxiety, stress and emotional upheaval and tension. Many homeopaths believe that a remedy made from placenta is the paramount constitutional remedy for a baby and can be used at a variety of times when there is upheaval or stress or life changing events or rites of passage.

Placenta Remedy Service
I will take a small amount of your placenta to make a mother tincture from. This process will take about 6 weeks.
I will then succuss and dilute your mother tincture to make a 6c placenta remedy in pilules, powders and medicating potency
I will then continue with the succussions and dilutions to make a 6 c remedy of a 6c and 30c remedy if you wish, in pilules, and medicating potency.
Please note that whilst you will receive a mother tincture it will be only 10mls or slightly less, unlike the placenta tincture service which is 200mls.

4. Ensure that you have the appropriate items to safely transport your placenta
1. A100% watertight four way click Tupperware box (1 litre) to put your placenta into. This can be glass or plastic. It does not need to be sterilised, but it should go through a run of your dishwasher. Available from hardware shops, Dunnes Stores, IKEA, large Tesco stores, large SuperValu stores, Dealz, Aldi, Lidl, AMAZON and other online outlets. This must fit into the cooler box or cooler bag along with the freezer packs or ice or iced water bottles (see below).
2. A cool box or a cool bag that is capable of maintaining your placenta’s temperature at 4 - 5 degrees centigrade. Available from hardware shops, Dunnes Stores, IKEA, large Tesco stores, Dealz, Marks and Spencer, Homestore and More, Woodies, Gardening and Party shops, Camping and outdoor stores eg Decathalon, AMAZON and other online outlets. This box or bag must be large enough to accommodate the Tupperware box AS WELL AS the freezer packs and or iced water bottles or bags of ice.
3. Six Freezer Packs or large quantity of ice cubes in a sealed bag, or 3- 4 small bottles of water (20 - 30mls) that have been frozen in your freezer for at least 24 hours. Available from hardware shops, Dunnes Stores, IKEA, large Tesco stores, large Supervalu stores, Dealz, sometimes Aldi and Lidl, AMAZON and other online outlets, Camping and outdoor stores eg Decathalon
4. Optional: A thermometer to ensure temperature is maintained in your cool box or bag when your placenta is transported to your home or waiting for collection. Available from hardware stores and good quality kitchen shops as well as AMAZON and other online outlets.
